Maintenance Contracts

Proper maintenance of mission-critical equipment is vital to a data center’s reliability.
Johnston Technologies offers multiple service plans for Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPSs), Power Distribution Units (PDUs), Air Conditioning Units and generators. Our factory certified engineers can service most units, regardless of brand.

Response Times

Quick response times can prove crucial in reducing Mean Time to Repair (MTTR). Johnston Technologies offers a next business day response time standard with every service contract. However, we can provide customers with an upgraded guaranteed response time of 8-hour or 4-hour.

We understand that downtime is not an option. By upgrading to a quicker response time, customers will save their company money by decreasing MTTR and downtime.

Preventive Maintenance

Preventive Maintenance (PM) is an important component of maximizing mission critical equipment’s uptime. A PM consists of an on-site inspection of a particular unit. This inspection will include tightening any loose components, ensuring everything is running properly and if necessary, upgrading any software on the unit.

A PM can also be purchased for the batteries on any UPS. The battery PM will include the tightening of any loose connections and testing of the batteries to ensure none are beginning to fail. If any batteries are beginning to fail, Johnston Technologies offers battery replacement services that you can find here.

Our service plans offer a single unit PM. However, additional PMs or battery PMs can be purchased to ensure optimal performance.

Maintenance Hours

At Johnston Technologies, we understand that performing any type of maintenance during business hours can be nerve-racking. Therefore, we offer the ability to upgrade any service contract to after hours. If upgrading to after hours, PMs and other maintenance can be performed 24x7.

Don’t take the risk of performing maintenance during the busiest part of the week.

Environmental Inspection

The new environmental inspection upgrade will help identify any deficiencies in the power, cooling and operation of the data center. The environmental inspection will include an on-site visual, power supply, rack and row analysis of the room. After the analysis is complete, a customized report will be sent to the customer with a recommendation on how to improve the overall efficiencies of the data center.

This powerful tool will help the data center manager understand major energy and availability issues that could be costing them money.
