Social Madness Challenge

Johnston Technologies has entered the Social Madness competition sponsored by The Business Journals. Social Madness is a competition between varying sizes of companies in various areas to see whose social media sites are more prominent. Companies will be ranked by votes on bizjournals.com, LinkedIn Connections, Facebook activity and Twitter followers. Voting begins at 12:01 AM on Friday, June 1st and ends June 18th at midnight. We will be competing in the small company size bracket joining other local companies with fewer than 100 employees. The top 8 companies from each market will then be entered in a head to head style bracket June 19th through July 16th. From there, all 43 local winners plus the top 21 runner-ups from each market will advance to the national program. The three national winners will be announced on September 11th and a charitable donation will be made on behalf of the three national winners. If Johnston Technologies were to make it all the way through nationals and named the winner, we will ask our donation be made to Room in the Inn.

Room in the Inn

On September 9, 2010, Room in the Inn officially opened the doors of a new 44,000 square foot building designed to be both a destination for our homeless neighbors and a resource for the entire community. This new facility provides crisis support, hospitality, education, shelter and long-term solutions to those who need it the most. Last year, Room in the Inn and its volunteers provided more than 30,000 beds, more than 24,000 showers and served more than 61,000 meals and almost 31,000 snacks and lunches to our homeless guests.
